My theory for why a car vibrates at a certain speed is:

The wheels are not completely equal all the way around.  There is a mass differences in the tires.  One side has more mass well the other side has less mass.  That is why cars when they reach 50-55 mi/h often start to shake.  At 60 mi/h the shaking gets worse and past that, you have no shaking problems.
