Lesson 159 History

President George W Bush:

President Bush was the 43rd president of the USA.  He was also the president at the date of 9/11.  9/11 was the largest tourist attack on American soil, and I will put a video on the 10 secrets of 9/11.

Please watch the video.

A young boy asked Bush this question, “President Bush, how did you feel about the 9/11 attack”  President Bush in reply said that he was in the school watching as the “first plane” hit the WTC.  The only video of a plane hitting the North tower was only released a day later, on September 12, 2001.  Another thing is WTC 7 was not hit by any plane, but somehow by little office fires that were almost all put out, destroyed the building.

Watch the video

Steel structure buildings do not collapse from office fires.  If you don’t believe me, then go and research for yourself.  When the North and South tower collapsed from the fire/jet crash, they also went down like the WTC 7, and did not fall sidewards.  Is this not fishy?\

Now tell me if you are willing to believe what I just told you by taking the poll.

Lesson 155 english

In the novel I am reading, called Looking Backward from 2000 to 1887 by Edward Bellamy, written in 1888.

What is the least believable aspect of the novel so far?  Well I can name a few, first is you would die if you traveled forward 113 years, 3 months and eleven days.  He survives a fire in his sleep because he is in a concrete jail/bedchamber under/ in the basement of the house.  Now does this sound possible?  I will put a quiz at the end of the essay to see how you did.  He falls asleep in the year 1887, after a trip with his girlfriend to the mountains with her family.  They came back from the trip later that day, and dined at her parents house.

After the dinner, Edith(that was the girl’s name) insisted that Mr. West must go back home to go to sleep.  She knew that he did not sleep well at all.  He called for the doctor to come and give him some sleeping meds, and when he was asleep the fire burnt down his house and he has dugged up in the year 2000.  Now does that seem that he would have rot to death, or suffocated.  But somehow he survived the fire and traveled in time.

Another thing is that the 2000 Boston is now a communistic city, and some with all of the larger countries, like America.  America is not communistic, even today it is not.  A communistic country does not do well at all, and has not solved any of the world’s problems at all.  If you have a communist government, then you are not free to do what you want, you are practical a slave.

People get paid the same wages, even if they are in a hard working job with lots of hours to work, or a easy job with not much hours to work.  All of the stores are the same and they are all over the city.  All of the warehouses have the right amount of goods that the people by, which is not possible for a government to do.

Everyone has a credit card with which they buy their items with.  All stores are sample shop’s.  You go and work when you are 21 and retire when you are 45, but you fully retire when you are 46.  There are no wars.  Nowhere in the history of the world had there been a time when a communist government had no wars.  This guy predicted the future that there were going to be radios, but he calls them telephones.

Last but not least is that he is still the same age that he was in the year 1887, he is not a day older, and he is not dead.  Now read the book if you want to know what I have written is truly in there.  Now for your test:

Lesson 143

Do you believe it would be better to raise the driving age to 21?  Why should they do it in the first place?  They should not raise the age to 21, or the teenagers would not be able to learn from their mistakes.  Teens Get their learners at about age 16.  They have two years to learn how to drive before going to college or university.  5000 teens die in accidents, because of their fault and their parents.

If a teen gets in a accident (s)he was probably goofing around, or the other more experienced driver crashed into him or her.  If you raises the driving age to 21, then when they are college or University, they would not know how to drive unless a tutor or their parents come and teach them.

By raising the driving age to 21, you are just moving the problem up to 21 year olds.  Let me tell you a true story.  A friend of mine was driving to school, and on the way to school an experienced driver cut him off, making my friend crash into the driver that cut him off.  And there is proof that my friend is not guilty.  My friend was 17 years old when this happened.  Now tell me whose fault was it.
Should Driving age be 21?

Lesson 150 history

The Gulf War:

The Gulf war was when Iraq tried to take over Kuwait, starting on 2nd August 1990.  Iraq wanted the oil fields in Kuwait.  Kuwait’s oil fields where large, and going on for miles under the hot desert sand.  Iraq tried to take the small country of Kuwait over by persuading the larger and more powerful countries of the world.  But all of the country’s disagreed with Iraq, because Kuwait had been an independent country for about 20 years.

Then Iraq tried to take the country Kuwait by force.  At this time, and even before the war, Iraq was a communist country, and was getting aid by the USSR.  On this map you would see who help in the war with the allied force.  The lasted for 6 months, 3 weeks, and 5 days, ending on 28th February, 1991.

Afghanistan war:

Afghanistan war was when the USSR invaded Afghanistan.  Afghanistan is known as the empire killer/destroyer.  Every single time a country/Empire invaded Afghanistan, they were defeated.

The USSR invaded Afghanistan December 24th, 1979.  The war ended 9 years, 1 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day later.  This war was also known as the beginning of the end of the USSR.  Another thing about Afghanistan is that the US, how supplied aid actually invaded Afghanistan in 2003.

Are blogs a good way to get a job?  Writing is a necessity in life, you need it to get a job.  The better your writing skills are, more easier it will be to get a job.  I can’t write more than this, but the teacher said to write daily to become better at writing.

“Whenever you apply for a job, the first thing a recruiter will do is investigate you online. Having a blog will give potential employers a fuller (and positive) picture of who you are and how you carry yourself, both personally and professionally. And unlike being tagged in an unflattering — and public — image of yourself on Facebook, your blog contains content that you can completely control to project yourself in the best light possible.”

Always lead the person who is going to hire you to your web site, and with this you are more likly going to get hired.  Another thing is don’t post stupid posts on your site, by doing this you will regret it, so go to the post called Lesson 141 english, you will learn more about the internet.

“If you’ve been scanning and searching the Internet for job postings for a while, it’s easy to let your skills slip a little. Blogging will not only keep your knowledge current, but it will also keep your skills sharp as you create cool new content for your readers on a consistent basis. It can also help you stand out as a career expert in your industry.”

If you are looking for a job, then go to the internet, it could not get much simpler than that.  Another thing is to continue to post on your blog, what you are good at, and what you have studied in college or university.

Keep doing what I have just told you, and you have a better chance to be what you want.  I your friends have blogs themselves, and they are doing well, then get them to reblog your posts, so that you can be recognized and get more followers.  There is a guy called

Follow others and like and comment on their blog’s/post to get their interest, and become a main blogger/top blogger.  The more you do this, the better.  You can get your friends to lead traffic to you, so more and more people would come and see you posts.

The more followers, the better.  Find the people who are interested in the same things as you are.  One more thing is to put hyperlinks on your posts, to allow the reader to go and find the resources you used to make you post.  If you want to know how to make a hyperlink, then click on the word at the very bottom of the page that says “HYPERLINK”.

Bill Gates

You might have heard the story of Bill Gates and how he got his fortune in life.  You might have heard that he was arrested two times.  Here I’m going to ask you a question:  What gives us more satisfaction, the pursuit of our desires or the attainment of them?

If I were to pick one it would be pursuit of the item.  Here is the story of Bill Gates who followed his dream to become a programer.  He started programming by joining a club called the Mothers Club at the school named Lakeside.  His interest in programming was the GE system in BASIC.  His first program he completed was an implementation of tic-tac-toe.  He was only 13 years old at the time.

Gates graduated from Lakeside in 1973, and was a National Merit Scholar, he even scored 1590 out of 1600 on his SAT test.

As you can see already Bill was doing good, he even asked the teacher if he could skip math class so that he could do programming instead, and the teacher allowed he to do so.

Bill Gates work hard in programming.  That is when he programmed Microsoft.  His friend Paul Allen helped Bill Gates and also was a founder for Microsoft.

In pursuit of his dreams, Bill Gates is now on average making $12.7 billion a year.  Paul Allen only has $18.1 billion right now (he is not making this much per year) and on his SAT test he got 100%.

You now see that two friends decided to do some work that is now used in everyday lives.

Lesson 145 english

Is it important for students to pursue college or other higher education after high school?  Yes it is important to pursue a college degree, so when you go and look for jobs, it would be much easier to find one.  A field that is now in big business is called engineering.  Another thing about college or university degrees, is that you can get payed more then others.

How many people actually finish public high school in 2005?  Well in 2005, only 68.8% of all public high school students finish or graduated high school.  That is a low number.  But how many students finish high school, who are homeschooled?  There are 2.2% of students nationwide that are homeschool, and 9% are in public school.  There is about 35.728 million students in the US alone, and about 7.018 million students are homeschooled and about 28.71 million students are in public school.  But only 72.2% of all homeschoolers graduate.  That is about 5.1 million gratuits for homeschoolers, and that is about 19.8 million students that are in public school.

What about the percentage of high school graduates that actually earn a degree?  “According to NCHEMS, 24.1% of high school graduates receive an associate degree three years later, while 52.1% of high school graduates receive a bachelor’s degree within six years. This means that a student in school in the United States has only a 37.6% chance of getting a bachelor’s degree within six years after high school graduation and a 17.4% chance of receiving an associate degree. Note that these numbers are not exclusive – many people receiving an associate degree actually go on to complete a bachelor’s degree. Also note that this number is actually a bit high – it assumes all students in homeschooling and private school situations actually complete their secondary education.”

<So is earning a degree necessary?

So is getting a degree necessary?  Some may say yes and others may say no.  In order to do what you like in life, you are going to need a degree from college to get the job you want more easily.
